He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gutmann and Grace Duffield Gutmann. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Gutmann (Lynch); his sons, Erik Gutmann (Andriena) of Redondo Beach, California, Brian Gutmann (Mindy) of Creston, Iowa and Marc Hutchison (Eben) of Providence; his grandchildren, Dylan Gutmann of Vermillion, Samantha, Daniel Gutmann of Redondo Beach, California, Hailey, Faith Gutmann of Creston, Iowa, Philomena and Julian Hutchison of Providence; and his sisters, Elizabeth Senger (Charlie) of Okemos and Margaret Kline (Pat) of Bedford. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
