She is survived by : her grandchildren, Ryan McDowell (Amanda), Danica Graham (Austin), Molly McDowell, Andrea Pregeant, Daniel McCarver, Anna McDowell (Scott Simpson) and Alex McDowell (Siri); and her brother-in-law Wendall Abkes (Joan) of Parkersburg, IA..

A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Edgewater Wesley Life (9225 Cascade Ave, West Des Moines, IA 50266).
