He was predeceased by: his father Samwel Kipsang Chepkwony Kitur; and his grandparents, Arap Suiyon, Ben Ngetich and Chemarus Suiyon. He is survived by: his children, Charlotte and Gideon; his former wife Omega; his mother Alice Chelangat Kitur; his grandmother Obot Rusi; and his siblings, Lillian Chepkemoi Cheruiyot (Charles), Janet Chepkirui Kitur, Diana Cherotich Kitur (Jackson), Jeffrey Kiplangat Sang (Carolyne) and Isaiah Kiprotich Sang (Maureen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Imani Family Church (815 8th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
