He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Schropp and Betty Schropp (Hummer); his brother-in-law Vern Koenighain; his brother Ralph; and his sister-in-law Juanita Kuepker Jerry.

He is survived by : his former life partner Jeanie Swanson (Seberg); his pet Queenie; his daughters, April Cornell (Danny) and Corina Shipp (Dustan Fenton); his grandchildren, Cayson Shipp, Danny Cornell Jr., Vivian Cornell and Cruz Shipp; his sister Bonnie Koenighain; his nephews, Mike Koenighain (Stacey) and Chad Koenighain (Stacy); and his adoptive son Alexander Schropp (Australian Shepherd).
