He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne West and Florence West (Harrington); the mother of his children Carolyn Reed West; his son John Burton West; and his sister Merry West.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his daughters, Jackie West and Katherine West; his grandchildren, Nathan Sohn, Jeremy Sohn, James Ryan and Kelly Pigott (Dane); his stepdaughter-in-law Gail Bormann (Tim); his stepgrandchildren, Franklin Bates (Janie), Emily Tasler (Tim), Angela Haroldson (Tyler), Everett Bates (Nikki) and Eleanor Bates; his great grandchildren, Jacob Ryan and Connor Pigott; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Maverick Haroldson, Henry, George, Elouise Tasler, Kimberlie and Rebekah Bates.
