It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Helen Murray (West Des Moines, Iowa), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Frank Murray; and her former life partner John McClelland. She is survived by : her children, Leonard Murray (Teri), Loria Murray, Teri McClelland Riley (Bob), Greg McClelland (Kim), Larraine Murray, Patrick McClelland (Cindy) and Mike McClelland (Mindy); and her grandchildren, Stephanie, Ben, Katlin, Kallie, Niki, Geddy, Kyle, Kody, Kacy, Jessica, Becca, Mikey, Max and Kenzie.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McLaren's Resthaven Chapel (801 19th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the service staff at the Mayflower Community of Grinnell that took such good care of Mary or the Grinnell Police Officer Association.
