With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Artis of West Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on August 14, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Bates and Beatrice Bates; and her husband Bill Artis. She is survived by: her children, Bill Artis Jr. of Des Moines, Beth Artis Picken (Steve) of Des Moines and Jay Artis of Des Moines; her brother Doug Bates (Connie); her cousin Robin Weber (Tom) of St. Paul, MN; her grandchildren, Shey Buckley of Des Moines and Bo Buckley of Austin, Texas; and her great grandchild Willow Patricia Flood.
