He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Conner and Thelma Conner; his brother Mike Conner; and his granddaughter Kylie Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Megan Phillips (Brett) of Grimes, IA and John Conner (Claudia) of Raymore, KS; and his siblings, Sharon Juniper (Mike) of Lancaster, OH and Jeff Conner of Cape Coral, FL. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be dedicated to Lutheran Church of Hope or to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa on behalf of Richard "Rich" Conner.
