He was predeceased by: his grandfather Bob; his parents, Dr. Julius Kaufman and Sophie Kaufman; and his wife Dr. Mildred Kantor. He is survived by: his son Rabbi David Kaufman; his grandchildren, Hanna Stone (Ben), Eliana Kaufman and Avi Kaufman; and also Julie Kaufman.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Woodland Cemetery Woodland Cemetery (2019 Woodland Ave, Des Moines, IA 50312).
