Robert left this world on October 12, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Margaret Krause and Lederman; his wife Ann Marie Slaikeu (Angle); his siblings, Walter, Ivan and Sylvia; and his granddaughter Laura.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Etchen (Mark), Deb Morgenstern (Steve), Sarah Morgan (Dave), Bill Slaikeu (Jill), Jayne Hezner (Scott) and JoEllyn Witke (Greg). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McLaren's Resthaven Chapel (801 19th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the McLaren's Resthaven Chapel & Mortuary (801 19th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265).
