She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Saunders and Bernice Saunders; and her sister Ginger Capen. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Fiala and Freeman Fiala; her stepsons, Philip Kinney, David Kinney and Douglas Kinney; her sister Karen York; and her sister-in-law Janet Van Cleave. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and many nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the McLaren's Chapel (801 19th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). An entombment will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
