He is survived by: his wife DiAnna; his children, Richard Petty and Heather McCrery; his stepson James Connolly, Jr.; and his siblings, Richard, Claudia, Marsha and Brenda.
Though his battle with Alzheimer's Dementia and other illnesses eventually took him from us, his memories remain a source of comfort and joy.
