He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jean Schwarz; his children, Teri Schwarz Mendoza (Mauricio) and Chris Schwarz; his grandchildren, Kylie Schueler (Jake), Jordan Foreman and Dakota Clayton; and his great grandchildren, Eleanor Schueler and Colter Clayton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McLaren's Chapel (801 19th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the Resthaven Cemetery.
