She was predeceased by: her daughter Rita Kay; her parents, George Grouwinkel and Kathryn Grouwinkel; her brother Franklin; her sister-in-law Marjorie Grouwinkel; her sister Thais Stephenson (Grouwinkel); her nephew Roman Stephenson; her siblings-in-law, Robert and Maxine Duncan; and her parents-in-law, Harry and Evelyn Duncan.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Duncan; her children, Sheryl Duncan of West Liberty, IA, Marla Hillyer (Tom) of West Liberty, IA and Brett Duncan of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchild Kalen Fraser (Greg); her children, Luke Hillyer (Katie), Dylan Hillyer, Will Duncan and Samantha Duncan; her great grandchildren, Simone, Murray Fraser, Quinn and Ira Hillyer; and her siblings-in-law, Paul, Kay Duncan, Larry, Judy Duncan and Dennis Stephenson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Liberty United Methodist Church (113 E 5th St, West Liberty, IA 52776). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
