Steve Elder Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Steve Elder of West Liberty, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 25, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Elder and Betty M. Elder. He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Elder; his children, Renae Thompson (Jeremie), Scott Elder (Amanda) and Kevin Elder (Laura); his grandchildren, Shane, Tyler, Jesse, Stella, Kendall and Brady; and his siblings, Roberta McKee, Larry Elder and Ann Robinson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Henderson Barker Funeral Home West Liberty (205 E Third St, West Liberty, IA 52776). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (116 E Maxson Ave, West Liberty, IA 52776).
Steve's legacy lives on in the fields he tended, the family he cherished, and the sweetness he shared with the world. lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Steve's memory.
