He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Mae Louise Laughlin (Barnes); and his sister-in-law Cindy Danielson. He is survived by: his wife Patty; his son James Laughlin (Jeni); his grandchildren, Lindsey and Brady; his son Jeff Laughlin (Shawna); his grandchildren, Caden of West Liberty, Ryan of West Liberty and Jackson of West Liberty; and his sisters-in-law, Sandy Stein and Shelly Muhs (Mark). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the West Liberty School Foundation or the West Liberty Rural Townships Fire & EMS Association.
