It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ilene J. DePriest of West Point, Iowa, who passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Ilene is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ilene's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Tripp and Betty Sanford Tripp; and her brother David. She is survived by: her husband Steve DePriest of West Point; her children, Kara Strunk (Jeff) of St. Louis, MO and Geoff DePriest (Jennifer) of Indianapolis, IN; her grandchildren, Jessica, Emily, Josie, Hayden and Ellie; and her brother Kevin Tripp (Colleen) of West Point.
