He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Sanford and Etta Lou Sanford (Wilcox); and his wife Judy. He is survived by: his stepsons, Matthew Mahoney (Cheritie) of Granger and Kevin Mahoney (Bailie) of Fort Madison, Iowa; his stepgrandchildren, Ethan, Madeline, Gavyn, Kellen, Cameron and Maddox; his siblings, Joe Sanford (Rosie), Sandy Gonzales (Vino), Susie Muerhoff (Robert) and Lori Grens; and his caregiver Elaine Johnson. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
