He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Winnike and Bernice R. Winnike (Fullenkamp); his brother Patrick "P. W."; his sister-in-law Sue Winnike; his nephew Michael Burke; and his brother-in-law Darrell Potter.
He is survived by: his siblings, Vicky Potter of Mount Pleasant, Bette Burke (Tom) of Donnellson, Iowa, Robert Winnike of West Point, Jack Winnike of Cedar Rapids and Bill Winnike (Jan) of West Point, Iowa.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Calvary Cemetery or West Point Library.
