He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Halverson and Evelyn Halverson; his former wife Jean Sweet; his wife Betty Nuehring; his siblings, Derold and Wayne Halverson; his sisters-in-law, Shirley and Donna Halverson; his stepson Kerry Nuehring; his stepgrandchildren, Lucas Palmer and Kelly Gordon; and his siblings' children, Connie Welsh and Steve Halverson.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Brenda Schmitt (Dan), Sandy Phillips and Grant Nuehring (Heather); and his godchild Stacy Jimenez. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great Grandchildren, numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (407 W Bradford St, West Union, IA 52175). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
