He was predeceased by : his parents, William Showers and Charlotte Showers (Vermeulen); and his brother William "B. J." Showers Jr.. He is survived by : his wife Heidi Bloem of Fredericksburg; his children, Micah Showers of Fredericksburg and Gabriel Showers of Fredericksburg; and his sister Ann Smith (Stephen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
