He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pape and Marilyn Pape (Broshar); his brother Steven Pape; and his brother-in-law Dennis Gilroy. He is survived by: his sister Sarah Gilroy of Cedar Falls; and his sibling's children, Scott Gilroy (Heather), Ben Pape, Noelle Carlson, Tim Gilroy (Mindy), Cameron (Viet Le), Carlson, Abby Stearns (Simeon) and Kerri Hall (Josh). He is also survived by nine great nieces and nephews, and one great-great niece.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Richardson Funeral Service (615 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:45 AM.
