He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Ray, Helen Drewes, Arnold and Hilda Jacobson; and his niece Andrea Rose.

He is survived by : his children, Jeremy Michael (Jacqueline) of Oceanside, CA, Nichole Carman (Mike) of LaPorte City, IA and Jodi Lickteig (Steve) of Cresco, IA; his grandchildren, Allie Anfinson, Reid Carman, Lucas Michael, Nicholas Michael, Laney Lickteig and Livian Lickteig; and his siblings, Joyce Knickerbocker (Randy) and Dale Jacobson (Donna) of Des Moines. He is also survived by several aunts, nieces, and nephews.

In death Scott was able to donate his corneas.
