He is survived by: his siblings, Michele Leiting (Glen) of Westside, Neil Bornhoft of Westside and Galen "Barney" Bornhoft (Deb) of Boone; and his nieces and nephews, Barb Broich (Doug) of Coon Rapids, Nancy Dowell (Steve) of Baldwin City, KS, Stephanie Sharp (John) of Harlan, Jeremy Leiting (Cheryl) of Lincoln, NE, Mark Leiting (Hanna) of Harlan, Trinity Bornhoft of Sac City, Zak Bornhoft (Megan) of Bennett, CO, Sady DeLapp (Gabe) of Wall Lake, Mandy Bornhoft of Des Moines, Brandon Bornhoft (Rachel) of Boone and Mikaela Simpson (Mitchell) of Webster City. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Huebner Funeral Home, Westside Chapel (105 Eagle St, Westside, IA 51467). A memorial service was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
