He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Smith (Merritt) of Whiting, Iowa; his son Malec Smith of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his sister Fawn Edelbrock (Craig) of Sartell, Minnesota; and his niece Carys Edelbrock of Sartell, Minnesota. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
