Norman Dunbar Obituary
We announce the death of Norman Dunbar of Whiting, Iowa, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 78. Norman will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norval "Shorty" Dunbar and Elsie "Eileen" Dunbar (Hoover); his wife Pamela "Pam" Dunbar; his daughter Elizabeth Dunbar; his siblings, Gary Dunbar and Carolyn Servais; Leroy and Genevieve Baker (Quintard).
He is survived by: his son Matt Dunbar of Sioux City; his grandchildren, Catherine Birk (Christopher) of Spokane, Grace Dunbar of Sioux City and Isaiah Dunbar of McCook Lake; his great grandchild Barron Birk; his brothers-in-law, Bill Servais of Omaha and Brad Baker (Nancy) of Joplin, Missouri; Charles Harrold of Laurens, Iowa. He is also survived by two nephews; and several cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel (1629 10th St, Onawa, IA 51040). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
