He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Tigges and Mary Tigges (Droessler); his wife Mary Ann; his siblings, Ed Tigges (Mae), Marvin Tigges and Alice; his siblings-in-law, Mary Jo Tigges of Algona, Helen Inman (Ross), Alice Mader (Ivan) and John Reding; and his nephews, Alan Tigges and David Inman.
He is survived by: his close friend Mary Ann Reding; his children, Doug Tigges (Barb) of Woodbury, MN, Jan Bisbee (Ron) of Winterport, ME, Mark Tigges (Dianne) of Mason City, IA and Merle Tigges (Kelly) of Fenton, IA.; his grandchildren, Andrew, Kayla (Sam), Nathan Tigges, Wyatt, Tanner Bisbee (Emma), Maleri Schilling (Clinton), Madison Kettering (Johnny), Meredith and Madelyn Tigges; his great grandchildren, June, Mack and Eugene Schilling; and his brother Gene Tigges (Charlene) of Armstrong.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Bernard's name to St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, and sent to Divine Mercy Parish, 715 E. North St., Algona, Iowa 50511.
