Alice Heitman Obituary

Alice Heitman, born on February 20, 1936 in Iowa City, Iowa, passed away on October 11, 2026. Alice leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Tompkins and Blanche Tompkins (Bell); her husband Raymond R. Heitman; her daughter Diana Kloos; and her siblings, Lois Wallace, Helen Hartin, Eleanor Dietrich Wyant, Mary Goldammer and Edgar Tompkins.

She is survived by: her children, Randy Heitman (Donna) of Williamsburg, Sheryl Schafbuch (Jim) of Ankeny and Julie Droessler (Mark) of Cedar Rapids; and her son-in-law Ron Kloos of Belle Plaine. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (407 N Highland St, Williamsburg, IA 52361). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul United Methodist Church (803 Clearview Dr, Williamsburg, IA 52361).

A memorial fund has been established for Essence of Life Hospice.
