She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Roy and Sandra Eileen Wilson (Mettler); and her sister Peggy Gartner. She is survived by: her daughter Angela Whetstine (Clint) of Wellman; her grandchildren, Case and Allie Whetstine of Wellman; her great grandchild Brynlee Whetstine of Wellman; and her siblings, Ann Smith (Jay) of Iowa City, Patti Swartz (Steph) of Des Moines and Matthew Wilson of Coon Rapids, MN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A prayer was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (415 7th Ave, Wellman, IA 52356). Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church - Wellman (210 11th St, Wellman, IA 52356).
