He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Huedepohl and Leona Huedepohl (Teggatz); his former wife Connie; his sister Dianne Metzner; his grandson Aaron Huedepohl; and his son-in-law Bryce Brecht.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff (Gretchen Huedepohl), Scott (Andrea Huedepohl), Shelly Brecht of Watkins, IA and Kristin (Andrew Ward); his grandchildren, Benjamin Huedepohl, Seth Huedepohl (Brittany), Hannah Schatz (Dylan), Jacob Huedepohl (Vitoria), Kelsey Brecht, Tanner Brecht (Nicole), Nathan Ward (Taylor) and Allison Parham (Zane); and his fiancée Sherry Carpenter. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; a large extended family.
