He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Mayer and Doris Mayer (Knodel); his wife Pat; and his brother Larry Mayer. He is survived by: his children, Tami Minnehan (Anthony) of Panora, Curtis Mayer (Jamie) of Washington and Craig Mayer (Melissa) of Racine, WI; his grandchildren, Brian Minnehan (Marlene), Daniel Minnehan (Rachel), Marissa Ramsay (Jared), Charles Minnehan (Katelyn), Katie Minnehan, Reece Mayer, Teague Mayer, Riley Bennett (Austin), Sydnie Rampulla (Joseph) and Carlee Mayer; his sister Candace Reinert of Phoenix, AZ; and his sister-in-law Julyane Mayer of Wilmer, MN.. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu flowers a memorial fund has been established for the East Iowa Bible Camp.
