He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Duane and Marie Jean Ruegsegger (Meyer); and his brother Alan Caise. He is survived by: his siblings, Ricci Utley of Cedar Rapids, Ivan Ruegsegger of Atkins, Bryan Ruegsegger of North English, Brent Ruegsegger of Iowa City and Karla Bryant (James) of Amana. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
