He was predeceased by: his sister Marcella Doehrmann (Allan). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Folkmann Doehrmann; his children, Rick Maas (Heather) of Grinnell, Tyler Maas (Kim) of Urbandale and Ann Reid (Bill) of Columbus, IN; his stepchildren, Ben Doehrmann (Jessica) of Boone, Andy Doehrmann (Tekla) of Chandler, AZ and Tracie Watkins (Bill) of Chandler, AZ; his grandchildren, Brecken, Henry, Caleb, Sailor and Kate; his stepgrandchildren, Emma, London, William, Morgan and Shelby; and his sister Lois Bair (Lee) of Williamsburg.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home-Williamsburg (407 N Highland St, Williamsburg, IA 52361). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery (626 8th Ave, Conroy, IA 52220).

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Lutheran Interparish School, Essence of Life Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church.
