With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vickie L. Akers of Williamsburg, Iowa, born in Spring Valley, Illinois, who passed away on July 16, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Vickie had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Vickie may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her father Charles McCauley. She is survived by: her mother Eunice McCauley (Rowe) of Princeton, Illinois; her husband Danny Lester Akers of Williamsburg; her children, Brad Swanson (Kristina) of North Liberty, Amie Jensen (William) of Oviedo and Alicia Weidner of St. Louis, Missouri; and her stepchildren, Devon Kaster (Kerry) of Delaware, OH and Danielle Leskie (Alex). She is also survived by five grandchildren; six step grandchildren.
