With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bourke Thurston of Wilton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 19, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Bourke may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bourke touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Carla Dutton; his son Richard Vance Thurston (Tammy) of Wilton, Iowa; his grandchildren, Richard Matthew Thurston (Tonya Brokaw), Richard Chase Thurston, Alexander Brett Thurston and Amber Louise Wilhelm; and his great grandchildren, Haley, Hannah and Harper.
