She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Horace and Mary Elizabeth Eckey Stevens; her daughter Sue Ann; and her brothers, David, Tom and Michael.

She is survived by : her husband Donald E. Briggs; her sons, Steve Briggs of Davenport, IA and Scott Briggs (Gretchen) of Lafayette, IN; her granddaughters, Amanda, Rachel and Leah Briggs; her brothers, Paul Stevens (Sheila) of Pace, FL and Mark Stevens (Dawn) of New Market, AL; her sisters-in-law, Karen Stevens of New London, IA and Mary Stevens of Denver, IA; her aunt Wilhelmina Terry; and her brother-in-law Keith Briggs (Barb) of Grinnell, IA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
