She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephan Bednar and Nellie Bednar (Gryzbeck); and her former husband Billy Nordyke. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Nordyke; her daughters, Stephanie Timmis and Nancy Nelson (Chris, family: Corran, Brendan Nelson, Billy Nordyke, Jr.) of Decatur; her stepson Mark Nordyke (Marie, family: Mark Jr., Andrew, Matthew Nordyke, Bradley, Brayden) of Patterson; and her brother Frank Bednar.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Winfield United Methodist Church (204 E Pine St, Winfield, IA 52659). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Wounded Warriors Project and Sunrise Terrace in Georgette's name.
