She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Buffington and Dorothy Buffington (Peters); and her brothers, Gary and Delbert. She is survived by: her niece Rhonda Connop (Rick).
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services (102 S Olive St, Winfield, IA 52659). A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Columbus City Cemetery (2603 Water St, Columbus City, IA 52737).
In lieu of flowers memorials in Karen's name may be made to the Spring Run Church or to the Pet Fund at Sunrise Terrace.
