She was predeceased by : her parents, Guy Maxwell and Grace Maxwell (Keitzer); her husband Homer Hillyard; and her siblings, Pauline Smith, Norma Haight and Virgil Maxwell.

She is survived by : her children, Virginia, Neil Hillyard (Sherry) of Parker, CO, Rita Smith (Tim) of Houston, TX, Jean Ann Peterson (Leon) of Winfield, Janet Rees (Myron) of Ainsworth and Susan Long (Jerry) of Ames; and her sister Naomi Lindell of Winfield. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren with one on the way; one great-great-grandchild.
