He is survived by : his children, Mark Joseph (Tamara) of Pittsburgh, PA, Maria Elizabeth (Keith) of Fort Collins, CO, Benjamin Michael, Rebecca Anne (David), Matthew Joseph of Des Moines, IA, Miriam Therese of Des Moines, IA and Anne Dominique; his wife Gail Ann Reicks; his son Ben; his grandson Joseph Reising of Des Moines, IA; his daughter Annie of Winterset, IA.; and his siblings, Chuck (Judy) of Prairie, Ruth Schwantes, Eugene Johll of Lancaster, WI and Susan Walz (Bob) of Wauzeka, WI.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
