It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Dean Bensley (Winterset, Iowa), born in England, Arkansas, who passed away on December 19, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Bensley and Alma Bensley (Bisby); his daughter Becky Keenan; and his grandson Matthew Barnett. He is survived by : his wife Cathleen Barnett; his children, Jerry Bensley (Carrie), Timothy Barnett (Melissa), James Bensley (Suzie), Merle Jr. Bensley (Amy), Larry Bensley (Judy), Donnie Bensley (Suzanne), Denise Machorro (Jose) and Lisa Bensley; his brothers, Gary Bensley and Harvey Bensley; and his niece Marie Hein. He is also survived by 70 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
