She was predeceased by : her parents, Dan Ryan and Marie Stowell Ryan; her sister Betty Crill; and her daughter Kirsten Nelson. She is survived by : her husband Jim Nelson; her sister Joye Morey (Bob); her children, Stephne Nelson, James Scott Nelson (George) and Ryan Nelson (Maggie); her grandchildren, Ashley Nelson, Bill Landis (Marina), Daniel Landis (Sarah), Haley Stonebarger, Colton Stonebarger and James M. Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Alyssa Nelson (Ashley) and Natalia Landis (Bill).

She was Chairperson of the Memorial Fund Committee, and was a member of the Worship Committee for several years.
