She was predeceased by : her parents, Melvin Hager and Lena Hager (Estell); and her siblings, Phyllis Garrison (Chuck), Eddie Hager and Larry Hager.

She is survived by : her husband Allen Akers; her children, Susan Crowdes (Michael), Jimmy Akers (Kimberly), Billi Jo Hartman (Ted) and Christopher Akers; her grandchildren, Ashley Hill, Kailey Gomez (Mickey), Chelsey Wildt (Chris), Madison Crowdes, Danielle Akers, Dakota Akers, Jessica Hartman, Joel Akers, Karlee Akers and Riley Akers; her great grandchildren, Taryn, Terrance Jr., Amya, Drake, Izayah, Aniya Hill, Sylar, Royce, Cassius, Mickey, Ariya, Yvette, Damien, Jayden Gomez and Laiken Wildt; her great great grandchild Za'karii Gomez; and her brothers, Bobby Hager and Ron Hager (Deb).

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - Winterset Chapel (1823 N John Wayne Dr, Winterset, IA 50273). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
