Shawn Michael Engleton Obituary

We announce the death of Shawn Michael Engleton (Winterset, Iowa), who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 62. Shawn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Shawn will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Shawn will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Shawn’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Terre Engleton and Julia Engleton (Keplinger). He is survived by: his stepmother Mary Engleton of Decatur, IL; his brother Jeffrey Engleton of San Jose, CA; his stepsister Julie Benitez of Hudson, IL; his stepnieces, Sophia and Lilly; his stepbrother Jeffry Rhineheart of Bend, OR; his uncle Michael Engleton (Kathy) of Chicago, IL; and his aunts, Laura Keplinger (Mike Lorano) of Palmer, TX and Thelma Engleton of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by several cousins and many other extended family.
