Tom Bass Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on September 26, 2025, at the age of 87, Tom Bass of Winterset, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis DeWitt and Mary Marjorie Bass (Clopton); his brother Mike Jackson; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Wass and Fonda Bass.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Wildin; his children, Greg Bass (Vickie), Chris Bass (Shelley) and Jeff Bass; his grandchildren, Chad Bass (Allison), Tyler Bass (Emily), McKenzee Downing (Ben), Ericka Harms (Dalton), Kyle Bass (Brooke), Kaitlin Irwin (Trevor) and Sam Bass; his great grandchildren, Zach, Tatum, Celia and Blakely Bass; his grandchildren, Tristan, Huck Bass, Landon, Adalyn, Maleah, Wesley Downing, Parker Harms, Brynlee, Tommy and Wyatt Bass; his siblings, Bob, Dick Bass, Dennie Jackson (Vicki), Jimmy Jackson (Linda), Connie Wiedman (Dick), Judy Finnegan (Dale), Kathie Wass and Pam Dick (Mike); and his sister-in-law Aleyda Jackson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Everystep Hospice, Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society, reflecting Tom's memory he left with all of us.
