He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Wilson and Reva Wilson (Helm); and his brother Wyman Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Beverly McMorris; his children, Ron Wilson (Lisa) and Debbie Abell (Ernie); his close friend Bobbi Dean; his grandsons, Colton Abell (Trinity Vonnahme) and Colby Abell; and his stepgranddaughters, Jourdan Bentley, Mackenzie Bentley (Jill) and Elizabeth Shipley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - Winterset Chapel (1823 N John Wayne Dr, Winterset, IA 50273). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the Moon Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.
