She was predeceased by: her parents, Orben Walter and Ethel Lusk (Pollard); her husband Harold John Stiefel; her siblings, Ernest (Yvonne Lusk), Robert (Ann Lusk) and Lois (Dale Snyder); and her granddaughter Tina Stiefel.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Karsten (Larry) of Independence, Howard Stiefel of Winthrop, Angela Pimentel (Oscar) of West Branch, Jeffrey Stiefel (Carol) of Winthrop, Ralph Stiefel (Debra) of Winthrop and Dennis Stiefel (Dawn) of Shellsburg, Iowa; Dale Snyder (Nancy) of Hiawatha, Iowa.. She is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and their spouses; 3 Step Grandchildren; 47 Great Grandchildren with 7 having spouses; 14 Step Great Grandchildren; 6 Great Great Grandchildren; 3 Step Great Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Independence Area Food Pantry.
