With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Reed (Winthrop, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on October 9, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Berle Arletta (Abel) and Edgar Harmon Reed; his sister Joan Gillette; and his wives, Rosalie Morgan and Shirley Bird.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Reed (Mary), Janice Fricke (Lance) and Warren Reed (Julie); and his grandchildren, Amber Hudson (Andy), Amanda Mitzel (Alan), Elliott Reed (Brooke) and Michael Reed (Krista). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Reiff Family Center - Independence (216 3rd Ave SE, Independence, IA 50644). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
