He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Rider (West); his son Patrick; his brother Bob Rider; and his siblings-in-law, Leota Mether, Jane Mether, LeRoy Mether, Donald Mether and Jack Straight.
He is survived by: his father Percy Rider; his wife Lorita of Magnolia, Iowa; his sons, Eric Rider (Theresa) of Logan, Dan Rider of Magnolia and Jason Rider (Chris) of Bennington, Nebraska; his siblings, Linda (Frank Polsick) of Cleveland and Michael Rider of Cleveland; and his sister-in-law Sondra Straight of Logan. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fouts Funeral Home- Woodbine (501 Normal St, Woodbine, IA 51579). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
