He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Jean Tarr (Dale) and John Lewis Demler. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughter Traci Nicole; his granddaughter Kaitlynn; his siblings, Dea Hamburger (Tom) and Patrick Tarr; and his siblings' children, Stacy Sands, Jessica Turner, Daisy Dahlquist, Stormy Khuc, Brittani Tarr, Akasha Tarr, Amberdawn Tarr, Cori Tarr, Joe Fishler, Chris Fishler, Jeremy Fishler, Zack Rudy and Ricky Tarr.
